Waterless process
Unlike traditional wood-pulp paper, where by far the most important process material is water, stone paper uses relatively zero water during its entire production process, which frees up a vast quantity of freshwater for more important uses such as agriculture and clean renewable energy.
Grainless texture
Karvle paper contains no bumps or grains. Being 100% wood-free eliminates the fiber topic, long grains, short grains, their direction and arrangment all become obsolete. Simply put, your pen will glide smoothly and effortlessly across the page. The only thing that might get in your way, is you.
Waterproof paper
Made primarily from calcium carbonate, the paper inside our notebooks & journals is water-repellent. The lattice energy of the compound is high compared to its hydration energy, in less nerdish words, the main componant of our paper is simply insoluble in water, making it perfect to note down those shower thoughts after all.
Smaller carbon footprint
The simple method used to produce our stone paper eliminates the complex process of clearing land, growing trees, logging, and pulping. The result is an impressive 60% smaller carbon footprint. We top it off by planting a tree for each notebook we sell, getting a step closer to our carbon neutral objective.
